Well she may be totally retarded, but this move is sort of different. In my opinion she killed her 2012 chances, because now she is a quitter. On the other hand, she may just want to leave politics and this gives the L. Governor time to get ready.

Hehe in her speech she talked about quitters in the government. Apparently there's quitters and therefore she quit...?

She claims she quit to save Alaska money by not having to pay for all the "vile" press coverage. Well, dear, the Presidency charges America. So there.

As for the Republican frontrunner... O dear. Mitt Romney= ugh! Mike Huckabee= Kill me now. Bobby Jindal= Inexperience galore and he's as bad as Huckabee. Tim Pawlenty= John Kerry's enthusiasm. The point is right now the Republican Party is in chaos. Sarah Palin was who the whole party was banking on. The GOP is at war with itself on one side are the way too conservative Huckabee, Jindal, Palin, Limbaugh people. This versus Michael Steele, a few governors who are little known, and possibly Pawlenty. These are your more willing to go moderate people, who are currently pansies in giving in to the Conservative rule. Then we have the liberal Republicans who are essentially conservatives with social liberal ideas. That would be me and Meg Whitman. Plus Schwarzeneggar, but since he is from Austria, he doesn't matter in this discussion. These people are being rejected by the GOP, because they are pro-choice, etc.

A lot of conservatives are uneasy about the large spending going on in Washington. The now second round of tea parties demonstrate that; however, there is no person to unite them as the candidates seem to be more worrying about social issues and going as far to the right as possible. Michael Steele is powerless, all leaders are not going to win on the national stage. I have one solution, one person who CAN unite the party and bring over independents who voted for Obama. Ron Paul. Libertarianism may very well be the key, a change on the scale of the Populist movement for the Democrats. We shall see.

But will the Conservative wing ever back Ron Paul? I can't see them doing that.

Well maybe someone will come from nowhere. Maybe an actor... he could be the most popular Republican of all time.

If you don't know what I'm talking about you don't know Colbert. On his show he talked about how the last time the Democrats had a filibuster proof majority was with Carter. So according to his book of Republican prophecies it's time for the second coming of Ronald Reagan.

Well this period is shorter. In other news, somehow Palin went up in polls for President. No clue how that happened

Umm didn't she go way down in the polls? Did she go up from those, because she might still be down more than she was before she quit.

No, according to almost all polls she went up among republicans. I was in shock for a second. I normally understand actions of party members, but this I do not understand

The only idea I had was that it is possible that her name in the news caused name recognition.
