Creedence Clearwater Revival

Post by selgguns.CM on Wed Jun 17, 2009 11:28 pm

I love CCR. They are probably one of the most overlooked rock bands of all time. Listen to some of their stuff and you'll understand what I'm talking about.

They're very great. I love them, I just don't listen to them all that often because I don't have anything by them.

Luke, if you need anything by them, I've got it. My dad likes CCR.

Favorite songs anyone? For me, it's Lodi, Fortunate Son, I Heard It Through The Grape Vine, and Suise Q in order. I know I'm forgetting something but I don't know what.

I'm telling you, they've lost their following. It's ridiculous! They're sooo good

You have to be an official rep for the band to make one

But it's not Revival anymore. It's Revisted because the frontman (can't remember his name) basically wrote all their songs and has the rights to the original CCR name.

Who cares if it's still called Revival? We're not trying to bring fans to the modern band who hasnt had a hit for 20 years. We're trying to remind people of what a great band they were. So yea, it's supposed to be Revival.

Wouldn't that mean that the name of the band is Revisited for any song made after he changed the name?

He didn't change the name. He has the rights and won't let the other band members use the name they were part of.

Luke all that Dohn is saying is that when the guy that wrote all of the good songs left, Creedence Clearwater Revival died. But the other guys still wanted a band, so they made one called Creedence Clearwater Revisited. It never had any good songs

That's not what I'm saying. I'm saying that the guy who was the guitarist and wrote most of their songs left the band and took the name Creedence Clearwater Revival with him. The rest of the band members play most of the same stuff under the name Creedence Clearwater Revisited.

you don't need to be official to make a page. take a look around. only a few of the pages are official for anything. and it doesn't matter what it is, b/c its abbreviated the same way. CCR
