The holiday of Columbus day shall be discontinued. All operations and employees of the Government shall work as usual on this day, and all public schools will have class on that day.

Lief Erikson day will now be honored with a day off for Government employees and public school children, on the Friday or Monday closest to the date of Lief Erikson day, October 9.
